Verify your UK buyer before you ship.
A new enquiry from Britain feels great, until the container is on the water. Run the buyer against the official register in thirty seconds: status, age, filings, insolvency history and VAT.
Seven checks, straight from the official record.
Is the company real and active?
We check the live Companies House register: status, incorporation date, registered office and active directors. Not a scraped database, the register itself.
Are the filings healthy?
Overdue accounts and confirmation statements are early distress signals. We flag them, plus any recorded insolvency history, before you agree terms.
Does the VAT number match?
A quick HMRC lookup confirms the buyer's VAT registration exists and who it belongs to. A mismatch between invoice, register and VAT is the classic fraud tell.
Sources: the Companies House Public Data API and HMRC’s Check-a-VAT-number service, both official UK government records, queried live at the moment you run the check. This tool reports what the register says; it is not a credit check, and it is not legal, customs or tax advice.
